In any home, the table is a place where families and friends gather to be together, share a meal, conversation, and love. It is something that transcends cultural and economic barriers. It is a place where meals are enjoyed and provisions are celebrated.
OBT stands for Our Banqueting Table. It symbolizes both what we do and why we do it. It is not just a place of business, but also a place of community and giving back. Our goal is to provide a place where people can shop, gather, and give. It’s a place where all are welcome around our table and where we help others share a meal around their table.
Our name comes from a verse in the Bible that represents Gods love for each of us. He welcomes everyone to sit at his table and enjoy the feast - the lame, the poor, the sick included. His grace and love abound.
"He brought me to his banqueting table and his banner over me is love." Song of Solomon 2:4
Throughout our lives we have traveled to nearly 20 countries collectively including places such as Thailand, Mongolia, Uganda, and India. International travel and years of work in non-profit aid work provided us with an expanded world view and a vision to help people in need. We wanted to create a business that was socially minded, helping not only provide for our family but also provide for others in need.
The concept for Our Banqueting Table evolved from years of family work in both the furniture and non-profit industries, coupled with a family tradition of gathering around the table for a meal. Pairing together our family legacies, passions, and life's work was something we couldn't stop thinking about, so we started Our Banqueting Table.
Thank you for partnering with us on this journey!
